If that's what it say's, RIGHT!!

Remember they are like maybe 45 degree "stand-up" bolts vs the old darn near 90 degree angled into the head bolts!

I say this b/c I think much more and you can actually wedge crack your block if you get down on her.

How far off am I guys?? I'm thinking 5.0 here....

90 degree bolts OR SO(??) pull the 90 degree V together whereas 45 degree VERTICAL intake bolts can wedge it part like a splitting wedge!

Make sure and re-torque them after a few heat cycles if need be.
I know GM had a lot of problems with intakes leaking which the gaskets did suck on the vortec l-31 motors, but I honestly think it was because of the bolts backing out from many heat cycles, the low torque rating, and fewer bolts.

My 97' Z/71 leaked like a siv, ordered gaskets (from all of there hear say I assumed), put a wrench on the bolts and they were HAND tight. This was back in 02'

I'm not sure where I got the info on my 98 Vortec but mine are torqued to 11 INCH pounds. I trashed the first set of replacement by over torqueing them and then used a inch pound torque wrench on these and did not and will not retorque.
