Nice pics Doug, Did ya get rained on?

:beers: Cheers guy's

It was desolate. Year1, Ricks, Eastwood weren't there. Lots of open spaces in the vendor areas and fields. Still fun though but you can see the effect of the economy (I'm guessing).

The fairgrounds were a little sparce compared to other years but there were still enough cars to walk around and look at to make my legs/knees sore, at least I got everything i needed this trip.
I covered all the vendors and most of the cars i wanted to see in just over 3 hours, they are running thunder in the valley(bike ralley) in Johnstown Pa so I needed to make it quick to fit it all into one day.

Doug, I guess you got a pic of my "best" side Haha. It was nice to talk to you and Scott. Hope ya got the stuff you were looking for. I also met another member Matt. You all are class acts. This is the reason for this car thing....Good times even with a primer car!

Scott

Yah that was mine! My wife was wondering what I was doing. I was watching people read the sign while waiting to get to drive a 2010 Camaro. It amazed me how many people came up to my car to look at it being that it's a true "15 footer". I love going to Carlisle!

Scott

Too many Scotts in this thread.

Rick D, you are right, vendors were thin. I was surprised at no Ricks or Eastwood. I needed to buy stuff too.

I thought there were more cars than last year.

Aaron,
Great Pics!
Did anyone figure what was up with new black Camaro with the white painted triangles. When Doug G and I walked up to it we thought it was white shoe polish, but after looking at it, we decided someone had taped it off and applied the white with a roller. :noway:
I just don't get it.

Yeah, that car is the original "zebra" car. It is the one they used as a test car out on the road. They painted those triangles on it to disguise the lines of the car so if paparazzi from car magazines tried to take pictures of the car, they couldnt get a good shot of the detailed shape of the car. Its too bad that car will be crushed. That would be a good one to have!

In that photo set, there is a picture that I labled the "camaro lead team". In that picture is (from left to right):

- Scott Settlemire - Manager, Chevrolet and Hummer Shows and Exhibits (Former Camaro Product Manager)
- Cheryl Pilcher - Camaro Product Manager
- John Fitzpatrick - Marketing Manager, Camaro
- Anthony McCormack - Engineering Program Manager, Camaro
- Alan Oppenheiser - Vehicle Chief Engineer from Camaro

Wish I could have gotten a better picture of that team. I did, however, get them all to sign my Camaro hat as well as two brochures of the new Camaro.

For my first time at that show I was pretty impressed. We met a lot of great people (Scott and his wife) and saw a lot of great cars. If this show was sparce then I cant wait to go to the crowded show. Anything with Camaros is perfect for me. Maybe next time I will be able to bring one of my two Camaros.
