I have done some research and now I am confused as to which cam I should install in my basically stock 327. I am running 245 60's on the rear but I am not sure what the gear ratio is. I do know that this was a bone stock column shift automatic with matching #'s when I bought it. It now has a 4 barrell with headers and the PG has been replaced with a Turbo 350. All I want to do is gain a little more low end horse power/torque with that sweet sound. I will not be street racing though. Based on what I have read, I understand that I have to be careful on my selection due to the fact that I have power brakes and the wrong cam will greatly reduce my vacuum or shove the valves down into the pistons. Can anyone tell me if the cam specs below would work best for what I am looking for?
Duration .228/.228 Lift .480/.480 LSA 112
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
