I was asked to assist a recently widowed lady to help her with two of her husbands cars. He was killed in a motorcycle accident a couple months ago. Even more sad was that he was just wrong place at wrong time and only in late 40's.

Hoping for a first gen F body but found...... 66SS396 chevelle and a 66 corvettte roadster both 4 speed cars.

I went and looked at them a couple weeks ago and did a quick once over and then some research to see if they were at least restored sort of correctly. It was night so didn't drive or get to look real good. The trim tag data seemed to be what both cars were

Today I spent a few hours with them both. Once I started looking at the cars I realized both were incredibly original and just unrestored. Used cars, time warps if you will.

The chevelle is a 44,000 mile original. What a nice driver. Real tight and actually drove like a 44,000 mile car should I think.
The corvette was the same, manual steering, 327/300 76,000 mile used car.

What I thought was so cool was that I haven't even seen an unrestored car in a long long time, let alone two in the same place. I had a blast driving them. Thought I'd share this.

Jack,

Does the Chevelle have AC? I think I might know that car and the former owner...

If it's the one I am thinking of...it has a connection to Super Chevy.

Sorry to hear about the situation...but thanks for posting the pics!

No A/C. The car came from Sidney Kentucky. I have the original owners bill of sale. He paid 3383.45 on August 31 1966. This is a two owner car, been in Az since 2001.
