I've noticed it more with the Pro-Touring crowd, but I don't get it. What's with the project names? Project No Comprende` is now under way, lol.

I think if you are going to talk about the car on the internet and have a web page about it, then naming the "project" is OK but I just can't bring myself to do it, - so far. I'm not doing much on my 67 Camaro anyway so it's just "My 67 Camaro" for now. It seems a named car or project is more promotable and it's much easier to refer to the Mule, Bad Penny, or Thrasher and people know which car. I find many names to be a bit silly sounding, but that's just me. Maybe if I could come up with cooler names I'd do it, but I'm not all that creative. It's easier to daydream and talk on the web than actually do work on the car, it's cheaper too! :)

I think names just demonstrate how attached some are to their project.

If I had to name my projects it would have to be meaningful the buick would be Project: "Taking Way Too Long" and the Nova would be Project "On The Back Burner" Both served with Project "Not Enough Money" and "Not Enough Time"

The Mule, Big Red, Thrasher, etc.. were all magazine cars, they all deserve a name. I think this is what started the trend of naming projects. For magazine projects I can see a reason, but for Joe blow in his garage, I just don't get it.

Well damn...my poor little camaro doesn't have a name AND I didn't name the project either. Hmmm it's too late to name the project although "never ending" seems to fit and well, let's see, the name of the car..."scruffy" cause it's a little rough around the edges!

I owned a 69 former drag car that I rebuilt and put back on the street named " Hard Times" painted in gold leaf on both doors.

My daughters 69 was named "Nice n Easy " on the spoiler when I pucked it up. She still doesn't know.

Like most here I don't name projects or cars. The list would be way too long. I just call them what they are.
