Tim,Funny you mentioned ED and his info,he never gave me the vin on this car but always wanted to know where it was.I PM him many times yet he wouldn't share that info.I ask maybe give me the last 4 numbers of the last 6 ,something but yet he wouldn't.Maybe it had somehing to do with me leaving RabbitsToys/Detroit Horsepower when I was a moderator under the screen name MOTIONHARRELLYENKO.I helped ED in the begining with research and later on he found Bob Johnson and Bob shared his info with him.I liked ED,seemed to really be passionate about these cars when we use to talk on the phone all the time and help and share info.

Thanks to Ed for supplying docs & info for free or a charge to verify some of the rare hi-performance cars.
Tim, You're correct that Ed's involvement and his website were very instumental in helping find this one and many other rare Scuncio cars. I thanked him in my 8/3 post and have done so in several personal emails.

Maybe it is just me, but if I had the info Ed has, I would try and find some of the cars before I revealed anything to anyone. Why should he obtain the info and release it freely? Why do some people think everyone is "entitled" to it? I don't see anyone else saying "Hey, there is a Yenko Camaro at 100 main street in Lancaster PA. with the original owner. I am trying to buy this car. Owner said he would sell cheap. Any help appreciated. Here's his phone number" :) :) :) Another thing that irks me is people calling on a rare car for sale and declaring they are selling it WAY to cheap, don't you know what you have? :) Why? Because they have no interest what-so-ever, and ruin it for anyone looking to get a deal they otherwise could not afford IMO.

I commend Ed for his efforts. Don't know him personally, but his posts/history reflect that he is a stand up guy that is truly dedicated to the Scuncio sold cars. He definitely should be the authority on those cars.

Dave

That is true in a sense. Bob Johnson mentioned that all of the info that Ed has came from him. I was also told that they had purchased other dealer doc's together.
Bob doesn't have computer access, so I believe that Ed has been the 'front man' in the partnership. You're correct that Ed is helpful and deicated to the hobby.
Finding and buying documentation is part of the restoration process and I have no problem paying for credible information whether it's Yenko stuff from Warren D or Scuncio doc's from Bob and Ed
Bob sent me copies of some documentation on 11-12 cars (which I'm sure Ed has too) If the cars can be located I'd ask that any $$ paid for those doc's be sent directly to Bob. My position is that they're technically his.

Not sure of the agreement Ed and Bob have, but that is their business. I have paid woo-koo bucks for docs/information/letters. Sometimes it is the only way to get peoples attention. On one car, I offered 10k for original docs, and was turned down, yet he sent copies for free. :) I have had dealerships send original docs at N/C also. Of course, you wouldn't pay big bucks to document a 1970 6 cylinder Nova, but the right car commands it. I have no problem paying for information pertinent to the car. IMO it deserves to be with it. If I ever found a car on Ed's/Bobs list, I would glady pay up.

This was my best friends (Marios son) uncles car. He showed me a pic in the early 80's of it with the hood off and I believe it had a tunnel ram at that time. I have not seen him in a long time but If interested I could see if he still has the pic, I'm sure he would still have it. The car was rally green in the pic but I don't remember if it had lettering on it. This had to be a pic of the car very early on in it's life. I know Adrian told his nephew and I that he wished he still owned the car and this was back in 81 or 82. Phil

I would first like to say good luck to Jude with the car it is the only ralley green COPO sold from Scuncio. I don't do certifications on any Scuncio cars I just do the leg work and Bob signs of on it if the car is proved to be from Scuncio. I know if I did not post pictures of the car or talk to Dan about it this car would never have been found,Dan great job and keep up the good work. I don't get on line much any more I have my kids to take care of now and work takes up the rest of my time. This is a great car and there are more out there I just don't have the time to find them but if any one thinks they found one email me and I will help as much as I can. Ed

Ed .Thanks! Hey Jude post the picture in the picture frame I sent you when I did the inspection, sure some guys would love to see it!Wheels up leaving the line! Phil,Welcome to TC,glad you found your way here,TC's a great site! Would love to see that old vintage picture you speak of with the tunnel ram!! Dan

I spoke with Mario over the weekend and he told me that it was his Camaro that had a tunnel ram and Adrian's Camaro had a 2X4 setup with the stock hood. He thinks he still has a box of small parts that they removed from the COPO and promised to look around for them. Nice guy:hurray:

Hi Dan, I emailed Jude that I finally talked to my friend this past monday night. He has plans to come down to R.I. in a few weeks so I hope to see some photos and hopefully get copies to share with everyone. Dean said that the pic he showed me was his fathers pic of Adrians car as his dad has all the pics that he remembers. Two weeks may turn into months but as soon as I have info or pics I will post as long as it is OK with Mario. Take care, Phil.
