I bought a Harrison and it had a meltdown 2 years into it. I'm having my origional converted. I supply units to Larry when I have them. He buys desireable models. http://woodradios.com/1967_68_camaro firebirdspec.htm
There is another shop on here that posted, JC Radios. I can't find his website, only his e-mail. I'm waiting for a reply. They are expensive but if you want the origional look it's an option.

Guys, Ricks / eckler's has the same radios we do, in fact for the month of november we're drop shipping all orders for Eckler's for the shirt promotion! all of our Model One radios feature 30 presets, IR remote, USB in the back on a 19" cable, 2 aux inputs, all METAL knobs--- so no worries, you're getting the correct unit!! It's a great promotion, don't forget we have a 2 year warranty too :) Happy Halloween!

Having read the above, I ended up getting the unit from Rick's. $237.99 plus $28.94 shipping  for a total of $266.93 and a free t-shirt. I think that's still a pretty good deal. I've been staring at that hole in the middle of my dash for years now and I am tired of it.

Anyone use an aftermarket "dual voice coil" front speaker that mounts under the dash in place of the stock dash speaker. I am considering this in place of kick panel or door speakers. The dual voice coil speaker is a 140 Watt speaker that claims to offer 70% more cone and dual tweeters. Both front tuner channels connect to it. Here is a link:

BTW, the Retro-Sound radio arrived from Rick's yesterday but no T-shirt.

The key words in that description are "the best quality sound possible from your original mono speaker location". If you want good sound you should be looking for good component speakers. Something like this: http://www.woofersetc.com/p6201/CTX65CS--Image-Dynamics-65"-Component-Speaker-System.htm. If you get a decent amp you can really make these sound good.

If you don't want to modify your dash for a DIN style radio, go to http://www.crutchfield.com. They have a selection guide where you enter your vehicle's year and model and they show you what is available. The selection is pretty slim and I doubt you'll find anything but a cassette deck. No CD player will fit the narrow width. A more costly option is to install a remote mounted receiver / CD player with a dongle that you hide near the console. You can then install an OEM / retro in-dash radio in the original location. Personally I'd just modify the dash and install a DIN style CD player.

Installed the Retro sound model A radio but there appears to an issue. The left knob control only wants to decrement volume (as well as other settings) no matter which way I turn it (left or right). The other knob appears to be working just fine. Any ideas?
Update...The remote control is able to control the volume up or down but still having issues with the knob itself. I sent a PM to RetrosoundUSA who is on this thread as well.

Heard back from Retrosound support. It's either a bad shaft or software issue. Getting ready to swap the right/volume and left/dial shafts to see if I can recreate the problem on the dial side while correcting the problem on volume side. If I can, then it's a bad shaft and they will ship me a new one, if not then it's a software issue and I will need to exchange the radio. Got to pull the radio either way... Somewhat bummed but the Retrosound guys were supper nice.

Thanks for keeping everyone aware of how things are going, glad we could help you out!! Thanks for your patience, keep in mind that the remote included with our radio can duplicate all functions until the new shafts arrive, I did see your shafts go out in today's mail. thanks, Michael

Not just single...I got double shafted! (in a good way) :hurray:
Now that's a rare bird.

By the way, after I got my pinion angle set I drove maybe 100 miles plus did three dyno pulls. The car's been up on stands for awhile waiting on me to get some time to finish my FI install. There was no oil on the pinion when I was underneath it this morning. *fingers crossed*
