I need to replace my original leaf springs on my 69 Camaro.
The car came with 5 leaf - leaf springs. My problem is that
I have shopped Ricks camaros, Ground Up, Year One, and Ebay.

Everyone offers a set of 5 leaf leaf springs but the prices vary from 139 to 450 dollars. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE RECCOMEND A GOOD VENDOR THAT CARRIES THE GOOD ONES FOR A REASONABLE PRICE. I PREFER USA MADE.
I PREFER ALSO A SET THAT LOOKS AND IS MADE LIKE THE ORIGINALS CAUSE MY CAR IS PRETTY ORIGINAL 69 RS 350 4 SPEED, 12 BOLT.
MANY THANKS---JOHN

Call Eaton maybe? Made in the USA from original manufacturer blueprints. $329 retail.
350 five leafs part: ML5629
Multileaf install kit part: 782MULTI

Summit and Jegs will usually special order for you at a good price if it is just a part not listed by one of their suppliers. Got my seats and some gauges that way. Give 'em a call.

John, you pay for what you get. The correct springs will cost you in the 400.00 range. The 139.00 springs are replacement springs and will not be technically correct. Ricks is your best choice. They do have sales sometimes offering a 10% discount. Go to their web site and sign up for e-mails.

I agree with Steiner. Eaton originally manufactured the springs in your Camaro so why would you install anything else?

Ask for Gary when you call. He is very knowledgeable.

Whats wrong with inserting a couple of good new leafs in place of others in the current spring pack.
I was helping a guy with a bbc SS car , he installed 5 leaf replacements, car set too high in back, had to take one out, think is was #2 from bottom.

Can't find a local spring shop somewhere? I would not re-arch the ends.

Where did he get the replacements from?? Just curious.

I used the 3 leafs from JC Whitney to replace my 5 leafs. My car is not 100% original anyways. I bought some 1 inch lowering blocks and I eliminated the rubber isolators. This allowed me to use the blocks to either raise or lower the car a little more than 1/2 if I needed. The car sits very nice, I used the block to lower the car a little. You could also have your original leafs repaired. Just a thought.
