Re: "Brooklyn Heavy's" Orange/Black top RS/SS 69 Motion Camaro

Your name came up in conversation, wanted me to ask you how you like the GM BB Mechanical cam he gave you? By the way Joe called me from the hospital last nite, had some problems.Ask him about Richie Zuls 1969 Camaro,he said that was Grumps old Camaro.I asked him ,are you sure,he said yes.He said that was the car that was stolen from Richie and unibody found underneath a Jersey City bridge. He knew the exact location.Rich send me a email and I'll attach Heavys Camaro picture so you may post it on Team Camaro.

Zul had the Grumps 70 Camaro. Not the 69.You can send the pics to Racer7391@aol.com

Zul's 69w as stolen and I believe that was the car that Joe is talking about being recoved in Jersey City, but that cars was not the Grumps car.

That old GM cam runs like a bear.Best E.T.ever even better then the .620 lft Crane that had before it.

Joe yes. It is found on the Raceway Park issue with the Briggs Chevrolet Trupp/Kling 1970 Chevelle SS LS6 car on cover.I slso have the Motion Article on this car and the later picture of this car personally given to me by Heavy himself 3 years ago.I believe I might of shared that picture on the SYC site on a old Brookyn Heavy post.Heavy's standing in front of the car and you can see the rear wheel wells cut for the bigger tires.Heavy personally signed all these pictures for me so their real special! Re: "Brooklyn Heavy's" Orange/Black top RS/SS 69 Motion Camaro

Alan I'm doing Great!! That picture of Heavy's ramp truck with the 68 Chevy II Nova SS 396/375 4 speed is my car, owned it in 1977 and bought it back in 2000,NEVER to sell it again! Still have the old New Jersey 1977 registration that I saved all these years.Original owner Dave L ran it up at Island Dragway back in 1968/1969. Dave told me the first thing he got rid of was the Muncie shifter, then put Headers,Scattershield and lakewood bars.Cars a 07C build, probably one of the last 68 396 Novas built.Came from Reedmans Chevrolet in Langhorne PA. Remember that day I met Heavy in person and he saw his ramp truck for the first time ,one of the Best days of my life! Heavy bought both his ramp trucks from Dick Harrell. The one with the bigger front box was the 427 engined truck and I had the one with the 350,numbers matching too! Real sad to hear the day Heavy died, but hes back with his buddies who left earlier in a better place! Thanks Alan for taking the time to post those pictures!!
