Painting our COPO in a few weeks also. Dont get excited just a "clone" "tribute" whatever they are being called. But is does have the correct block, heads, and intake. You send me some pics and I will send you some the the latest cars added to the garage.

Subframe is done and in assembly

No I have not but we always run them before install . Easier to address any problems while out of the car.

Car actually spent it's life in Glenwood West Virginia and was bought at Hairston Chevrolet in Chesapeake , Ohio.
Now I guess Mr Tibbs has the COPO if this is not confusing enough.

... I kinda got the feeling Van was telling this story kinda like the old lady told her story in the movie "Titanic" lol. Drawing everybody in deeper as it goes.....

Now that does sound like the Van I know

And I don't want to ride in the back with "Kalif" again ... he screams like a little girl everytime we get a little sideways l:)

Nice find Van
Being such a stand-up guy I'm sure went a LOOOONG way to you getting this vehicle and the parts to get it back together :beers:

Really enjoyed finally getting the time to read this whole thread

Van,

Any motor shots?
Bri,

I should have some soon. The motor came back from the builder sealed up and wrapped in plastic so we left alone but we are coming close to bolting on all the externals. The engine builder is another guy suffering from digital photographic non compliance disease..... impossible to get photos and the ones I got were not very good . I don't know about you guys but I like photos... I don't care if it is the same quarter panel from 20 angles the more the better.

I will have better drive train pics soon but you can see what I have posted in my blog .

I just bought another car in North Carolina last Friday so I need to go out there soon and will take many photos of the COPO. Hopefully by then it will be painted and I can do a little assembly :)

Bill.. there is nothing to start on that car . It is too original just leave it alone or sell it to me !!!

Just got back from looking at another one I saved .Resto almost finished .. one of fifteen cars. Original owner Roger Penske, put on pole in the very first IROC race by Fittipaldi... other owner Pablo Escobar of Columbia :)
Fully documented by Roger Penske
