Don,
Getting ready to do my headliner in about 3wks. I'm about 1.5hrs south of Portsmouth. Haven't made up my mind on my seats yet.

Try not to let others' misfortunes deter you. They are not that bad. Patience, restraint and forsight. They are more forgiving than they look. As you move through the process the liner "tells" you what to do. And when completed will be tight as a drum. The installation of the visors pulls that area up nicely. Just like any project, just put the immediate gratification obstacle aside. There is a thread now on T. Chevelle on it if you need a visual. But doing it is the only way to get a handle on it. I did not even use those clips, just a few vise grips here and there. Although they do appear to be friendly assistance. The glue does what it's supposed to.

I dont... several of use have said many times in these forums..one job that gets farmed out....
Hell its worth paying someone just to watch them in motion, how they work that material....they make it look so easy.
I got a guy who does the intallations for a local shop...a cash job on the weekend at home here...when needed he just said "hold that" and I did what I was told.
Handing over the cash, I must admitt, he made it look so damn easy...was it worth it?
Yes...I noticed many times, I would have pulled over there, but he pulled there and came out perfect.

My seats etc I did my self, re used my orginal upholtery, I replaced the foam....again the guy who did the hood liner, told me what grades of foam to use, showed me how to cut and shape the blocks...that went fine.
When I asked him about this he did make the comment that if replacing the covers always have new foam because the old foam will be compressed out of shape and will cause loose areas and wrinkles.

Mine has the 6-point rollbar in it and, hmm, define fun. Wasn't really hard, but Man, my thumbs sure hurt.

One key is to leave the liner in the sun for a good while before starting the install. Afterwards some wrinkles may be removed with a hair drier.

Jim,
Let me know if you need a extra pair of hands....i'll shoot down to help if you need. My car is at the engine builder/restorer....he wants to do the whole car but i bought it to do some work with my 14 yr. old son. Now i just have to build my garage to put my summer cars in....the projects never stop:)
