Hi all
I finally got a set of BB 781 heads that have the 2.19 / 1.88 valves and a mild port job, bowls are nice and cleaned up
But I found a broken inner valve spring - anyway I was thinking of getting a new set of springs seeing how I cant find anyone with a inner spring that I could just throw in.
(found one but it was to weak) Here is my cam I am running and some info on the springs I have.
BB427 Ultradyne Hyd roller 288/296 234 242 @.050 .600 .600 on a 110
the dual springs I have now are 1.5 diameter - installed height of 1.9 and I think the seat psi was around 145
What would be some good replacements for me so I don't float - part numbers would help a lot
Thanks for any help

Joe

Not knowing anything about the spring id or guide boss measurments, Off the wall I would try to buy just one completed spring from Comp spring from Jegs , #249-930. But I would guess if one is broke, the others could be not far behind. You did not say how much life they have had.

Even better, Call Bullet Cams and tell them what cam you have, they should have the springs to match.

well I ended up ordering this
Comp Cams dual spring CCA929 -16 seat psi 148 @1.880 - 432@ 1.230 coil bind 1.160
I hope these work out ok?
I am second guessing the springs I just ordered, Will they work for me or should I send them back and get the ISKY 8005-A seat psi 135 @1.875 - 380@ 1.25 coil bind 1.160

Keep in mind that I will have to shim either of them a bit - I hate not knowing what will work best. LOL
