loyal or not . . .

There are other makes of cars besides Chevrolet? I haven't noticed (nor will I, closed mind yes). Well ok I exagerated a bit....I let my wife buy a Pontiac Sunbird back in 92' because it had the 3.1 in it vs having to buy a Z/24. Other than that I live Chevrolet.

They did get me to waiver a bit and think when Government Motors took over but it's headed back in the right direction.

Car for car, truck for truck, I live in an area dominated by Chevrolets. The #1 volume Chevrolet dealer in America is less than a mile a way. And I live within a mile of the Tonawanda Plant.

As quality goes.....I have owned a fair share of new trucks (10) and cars (8 wife's) over the past 22 years and have only hit the service dept 2 or 3 times for minor things over that span. I am sticking to them. You'll never ever convince me about poor quality and yes I have heard the horror stories.

Not sure how to vote on this one. I've owned more GM vehicles than any other brand, but they've never gotten a penny from me because the vehicles were all used. Other than the new Camaro, nothing from GM excites me. If I was in a position to buy a new vehicle, it probably wouldn't be a GM product.

I just bought my first ever Pontiac ( 2008 Grand Prix ) what a great car, I love it. I also can't figure out why they killed Pontiac. They should have killed Buick instead. I mean business wise you would think Pontiac was a good money maker.
They kept Buick as it is HUGE in China. Owning a Buick there is a status symbol.

I used to own mustangs 15 years ago or so, now that i'm older i own 2 GMC trucks, and one Chevy Camaro, i don't think i'll ever turn back. I consider myself pretty loyal to GM !

I am for the most part a GM guy as I own three GM products right now (67 Camaro, 04 Malibu Maxx and a my 05 crew cab). I will always be GM loyal when it comes to my classic muscle and trucks, BUT my next new car for the wife will be a Japanese car most likely as it does seem that they last a long time. My 04 Malibu (her car) was paid off on a monday and on Friday the motor blew with only 115k miles. My daily driver is an Acura RL and it runs like a top with no issues what so ever at 185k miles.

I didn't vote because none of the options were applicable.

My first car was a red Fiat 850 Spider - fun but a mechanical piece of "you know what". My second car was a '71 Camaro (sorry I got rid of it but rusted out and ~250k miles). Besides the ones below we have a 2008 Mercedes stationwagon AMG, a 1986 Toyota 4 Runner, and my 2006 Toyota Tundra (80% American content). I buy what I like/want and I'm not going to be limited by some meaningless "loyalty" to any company.
Sounds to me like #4 was applicable here.

Beside the camaro and chevelle I own 2 accords, 01 Yukon and an 05 GMC Z-71. I have never owned a ford but would buy one before GM or chrysler due to the bailouts. Have always been a diehard GM guy (Olds F85's and 442's, Buick GS 455 etc) but as far as new is concerned GM sucks in my book.

loyality doesnt mater anymore. if you PAY federal taxes, you have bought chevrolet cars. only difference is, you bought them for someone else. And if that aint enough, you bought the company (without them issuing a single QSIP)!

to add insult to injury, wait till they offer even more tax incentives (tax payer money) to sell more cars to more non-tax payers.

1991 S10, 1998 S10, 2003 Venture, 2005 Express, 1968 Camaro.... Work at a Chevy dealer and have been a GM man my whole life and always will. Couldnt give me a non GM product if you tried. Im mental like that but get over it :)

Same as the rest, voted GM, have bought GM, but within the last 12-15 years, other brands seem to do a better job of building a car.

German engineering is nice, very good fit & finish, but all brands have little problems.
I'm waiting for BMW to respond to GM's Caddy CTS-V setting the track record at Nuremberg.
The M3 should be super close, correct?
The 335I shouldn't be too far behind the M3, if they were only a little less expensive, they'd be great. They do have their problems though.
When I said subaru, they can def. hold their own, they have attractive styling and tons of power and excellent handling, it just seems every time I see one of the sti's? with the massive under hood inter cooler the driver is driving like a pissed off teenager driving a ricer with a bad attitude.

IMO, the M3 is spot on, even being a 'Vert. As they (BMW) says, sit in one and you're sitting in a driving machine. Haven't driven a 335I yet, or any x35I. Yes, alittle, er, alot expensive, but what a ride.

Subaru has come a long way and I agree with you on thoughts of the driver driving one. But it seems to be a status symbol to have the largest blow-off valve to make the most noise.

You have very biased poll questions! I will vote that I love 60's GM muscle when GM was loyal to America and was actually an American vehicle.

GM is now like an illegal alien it's made in Mexico and sneaks into the country claiming to be American meanwhile draining the American taxpayer!

GM wake up! Support America and America will support you! There is a reason why you went bankrupt and now Toyota is #1....too hard let me spell it out it's called
L-O-Y-A-L-T-Y! Bowling Green Kentucky does not belong to Ford, Chevy, or Chrysler it is Toyota country. You could be #1 again but you must return to America and make us your priority, you know those people that just saved you from bankruptcy!!!

Sube has come along way..check out its reliabiltiy record, and customer satisfaction, Ev...it's right up there with #1 this time.

I do agree that the WRX is a bit of an overkill... but talk to some of the ralley-types who race them and see what they think of this car.

I have always been a Chevy fan, even some newer ones. I get to drive a rental often for work and the new Malibu is great car.

I have an 09 Silverado that is awsome but when looking I would have bought a Ford or Tundra. The Tundra MPG to me just sucked and getting truck was already going to be bad enough. It was good driver, allot of power but the I did not like the interior very much eighter. The for was awsome but the seats were the worst of the bunch.....I think my stock 67 Camaro seats had more support and side to side....I felt like I was going to fall out of the truck. The Silverdao's interior is excellent, it drives and handles great, it's almost car like. My Gm employee discount and rebates added up to just a tad over 10k off sticker so price was also factored in when you can roll off the lot with a 35K truck for 25K. It also pulls just over 22MPG on the highway ant 70 MPH!!

We had to get the wife new car, her 2004 Mustang got hit and it was not pretty. We got enought out of it for a down payment and keeping her current payment (just months to being paid off) the same (just extened by 4 years now....LOL!!)

We looked at new Camaros and new Mustangs......sorry to say gents but the new Mustang rocks!! Just driving it and looking at it you can tell it's a better built car than the Camaro and it's value is way better tha what GM is offering. GM dropped the ball when the cancelled Camro production in 2002 and now they are playing 10 years of catch up. They did real good but Ford still upped them for 2010 and 2011 Stangs. They truly are avery nice car. The interior qualitys are light years apart with in my opinion the Ford on top. The 2010 and 2011 Mustang also nailed that modern and classic look inside and out.

I see a new Camaro in my future (could be 10 years) but not anytime soon.

We did drive G8 V-8 Pontiac, it was awsome but still pricy and the Challanger looked great but those things are total Sticker shock!!

#4 does NOT apply because I'm still willing to consider GM (or nearly any other car company) if they make something I want/need. The girlfriend likes the new Camaro - if they offer a Z28 we may have to make room in the garage !

I do not think brand loyalty pays off anymore if it ever did. I have 6 vehicles, only one of them is a GM product and it is my Camaro. All of them were purchased based on the individual vehicles properties, not brand.
67 Camaro
92 Mazda Miata
98 Ford Escort
02 Dodge Durango
09 Chrysler 300C
10 Mazda 3
