Looking at what rear gear to run with a T-56 Magnum. I have a 496 with a solid roller cam 253/260 .425/.420 106 lsa. Rear tire is a 335/30-18, current gears are 3.31

The T-56 comes in two options .63 or .50 6th gear. What is better for street use?

Shoot me a PM with your email and I'll send you an Excel spreadsheet that calculates speed vs. gearing for you. You just input rear tire diameter, rear end ratio and redline.
 
The .63 will work better for the street with the 3.31 axle. I have a '56 Chevy with mild 350 V8, TKO600 5-speed with .64 5th gear, and 3.70 posi. At 70 mph it is taching 2000 rpm

Do you think 1498 RPMs @ 70mph with 3.31 is to low or should I step up to 3.73 1688 RPMs @ 70mph? It will be an EFI BB.

1,498 is too low. Even 1,688 may be too low unless you've got a very mild cam and the engine makes enough power there to run smoothly under load. I'd wait to change the rear gears until the car is on the road to see how the engine responds to low RPM loads.

We sell a lot of 6 speeds and a lot of Mosers. We build 90% of the Moser rears we sell with 3.73 gears for use with overdrives.

You do not want to low of a cruise RPM with a 255 camshaft, it will be miserable and also will be gutless at that low RPM.
