While in college I would drive my '70 Challenger from coastal NC to the Great Smokey mountains, 420 or so miles each way. Certainly not the longest distance here but for a broke college kid it was quite a feat. I never had more than 200 bucks in my pocket back then. Nowadays if I don't have 200 bucks on me I don't leave the county, lol.

Wow i need to drive much, much, much more. Farthest i've gone is a 3 hour ride total, from Pittsburg CA, to Pacifica, CA and around to krispy Cremes. Lol .. Just had to get dognuts !
What a small world.. I bought my car in Pittsburg CA off Railroad Av. on pueblo Dr. and drove it back to Toronto.

I've driven my Camaro to Vegas (320 miles one way), Los Angeles (350 miles), San Diego (350 miles), and all over AZ. It's not uncommon to do 250 miles in a day on one of our cruises. Haven't gotten the chance to go farther than that, but wouldn't really hesitate to do so.

And it's not really an old car, but I did Power Tour in my '96 Impala, just over 4000 miles in 2 weeks. And it went to Florida and back one summer

My longest was in my 71 Chevelle (high school car) Me and dad went on the hot rod power tour. We drove from FL. to Texas then Texas to Lambo Field then back home. If im not mistaken I believe that was the 2004 Hot Rod Power Tour. I think it was almost 4,000 miles in less than 2 weeks I believe.

In 78 took my first 69 Z with a 5 year and 1 year old from Dover AFB in Delaware to Memphis, TN. Dropped them off at their aunts house and picked up my first wife and drove strait to the hospital in Little Rock where my mother in law died. Car had the 140 cam, 12.5's and 4.88 gears. What a ride that was and took forever. I think it was just over 1000 miles to Memphis and then whatever to Little Rock. A few days later I took the trip back with the family and going through the hills in NC it started raining it's butt off so hard I had to stop to let it pass. Wife was scared to death but the kids (5,3, and 1) loved it. Of course they were too young and don't remember it.

For reals ! I am 5 minutes away from Railroad Av., i thought i was the only guy who own a 1st gen around here. I never see them around and it took me 6-7 months to find one in Antioch for sale. All the way to Toronto ! Holy Smokes !

OK my longest non Camaro cruz would be a 6,400 mile ride from Wisconsin out to the Rockies then over to Barstow Cal. then up the coast then back east had to see the Bonneville salt flats before heading home. In my 69 Chevelle.

That's quite a trip - I'll bet it was a great time!

L.A. to Washington D.C. 50 hours over 4 days. It took me 4 years to make the return trip. The eastern leg was in a '71 VW, the return was in a Ryder truck with the VW inside the truck.

All I remember was horrendous fog in Tennessee. I couldn't see a thing, Rodeway trucks were coming out of the fog like ghosts, I just pulled off and waited it out.

Played in the snow in the mountains in June saw the Grand Canyon, the Pacific ocean, picked up hitchhikers in swim suits, drove my car on the actual salt flats ran out of money, and saw a UFO land on the road ( I had been driving a long time ) lots of fun.

I once did Erie, PA, to Whittier, CA, in two days (driving solo).

I was in Colorado following a car about a 1/2 mile to a mile ahead of me when suddenly the car's taillights very quickly drew together - as if the car was shooting forward at warp speed. When I caught up to the "car" it turned out to be two mortocycles and the sudden "acceleration" was them simply getting closer together on the road.

I pulled off for a little rest.
