Had to replace i of the wifes orginal toyota corolla head lamps....it went yellow/cloudy, I sanded with 600 then 1200 then used some Al polishing rouge with a buff on the drill, and finished with a fine paint cutting compound.
While at it check the fine print on the back "made in China" the other is still the orginal toyota lens, as clear as the day it was made.

I have had some that were bad enough I took 320 on a DA and came back with 600-1000 and polished them with 3M heavy duty compound. The discolloration is the protective film over the lights. It takes a lot of work to remove the film completely and get them polished back to like new.
 
Yeah I know, but I was just being jewish with a bit of scotsman thrown in...lol
We can say jewish and scotsman in that term cant we...cant get used to the PC BS lol

I had the stuff laying on the shelves and a bit of spare time to fill in...
yeah its a lot of work if going to do it by hand, didnt take long for me to get out the electric drill and buffing wheel i use for polishing stainles and aluminum.
