Alan, you could drive that anywhere, anytime. I use to drive the track, make about 6-10 passes and drive home (30miles round trip ?) Just PO'd a few friends
this is how it sounded

Now with a solid roller I think my heads may be limiting me a little (200cc as cast) but looking to step it up a bit next year 427 or 434 ci ;)

I'm trying to catch you... but traction has not been great  LOL

On my car I have koni shocks all round for the street but just change the fronts to a cheapy set of Summit 90/10's for the track.
Disconnect the front sway bar for the track.
Standard multi leaf springs on rear & heavy duty springs up front so it handles nice on the street.
Set of Jegs bolt in subframe connectors.
Set of Caltracks set with a quarter of a turn preload for track & street.
15x5 fronts with skinny tyres.
15x8 rears with 275/50/15 MT drag radials at about 17psi.
Take off from idle, if I stall it up it breaks traction.
I have about 2hrs work to get the car ready for the track including changing all of the wheels etc etc.
Runs 1.6 60 footers so far.
It is set up much more for the street than the track.
