I am starting to restore a 69 Camaro. The car has a very important history to me and this is the reason i am starting this project. The car was my dads back in the day and when he had it he transplated a 1970 F1 ram air 400 into the camaro and the turbo 400 tranny. Then my dad got married to my mom (of course) and then had his first kid, my sister in 1983. Well when my sister was born he took the car off the road and it sat in the woods behind our house. I remember when i was 6 or 7 i used to go back there and prentend i was driving her. Then my parents divorced and we moved to florida and my dad had the car shipped down from jersey by my uncle. well while on the way down a bubble gum machine fell on the roof and busted the windshield out and then he park the car at the new house under a tarp. well the years went by and i would always ask my dad about it and if we could work on it, he always said one day when we have the time and money. So after many years of pestering he finally gave in. When i completed high school in 2004 he told me the car is yours. I was excited of course. I dragged the car out of my dads yard and it was off to my buddys shop where i could start the work. i worked on her for about a year then ran out of money so i set it aside. next thing i know i am married and now have a son and just bought a house. so i just now got it over to my new place and the work is being resumed once again. it needs everything. Floors, quarter, roof, ect. i already have most of the stuff so ive been working on her at nights after work and on my one day off since i work 2 jobs. all said and done the cars been sitting for 27 years and i cant wait till the day i get to drive her. i know it will be a while but hopefully it will be done by the time my son is able to drive lol. ill have to post some pic up later but like i said shes in rough shape but the car just means to much to me to not bring her back. just thought i would share my store and keep yours eyes open for some progress pics.
