I ordered a quart of 20-71 Blacl Onyx Zolatone to shoot my trunk with. What I'll be covering is a new center trunk pan with a fair amount of the e-coat left on it, some body filler, lots of bare metal, and some of the old trunk spatter I can't reach to remove.
I also ordered a quart of DP90 black epoxy primer as a basecoat.
I have never used anything but rattle cans to spray paint with in my life, so this'll be a first for me. I have 2 spray guns - both HF specials - to shoot paint with. One is a HPLV gravity feed gun with a 1.5mm tip. The other is a LVLP siphon gun with a 2.0mm tip. My compressor delivers 11.0 CFM @ 90PSIG & 12.5 CFM @ 40 PSIG. The tank is 60 gal.
Any and all advice is much appreciated, even down to simplest step as mixing the primer or what type respirator to use. I am a total NOOB at this and a bit nervous.
Thanks in advance!!
