I was a member of AAA for about 30 years but dropped them a few years ago. I had their Roadside Assistance for a year or two but dropped that too... I found them to be a PITA. Any suggestions for a good Roadside Assistance company? The one I have right now has a fee for each car and I have too many cars that I drive or am responsible for to make it feasible / reasonable. Looking for one that will "follow me" with whatever car I drive like AAA did.

I've been able to use AAA in conjunction with my medical benefits at participating eye glass places to get 20% frames and lenses!

I always use it at hotels, and there's a million other places that honor the discounts. Ya can't waltz into a restaurant\theater\shoe store\tire center\etc. and say "I've got BillyBobs Roadside Assistance... do you have any discounts?"

The classic car insurance at AAA is good. It is the same carrier I am with right now . MK Insurance who is a sponsor on the Yenko site uses the same company .

I'm a AAA Premier member, and although I have never had to call for roadside assistance I have used my membership for discounts that more than pay for the cost of the membership. Two thumbs up for AAA!

With mechanical breakdown insurance (extended warranty) you can get 24hr roadside assistance. I bought our used 2005 Mazda Tribute from a private party when it was still under factory warranty. I was able to get MBI for about $420 and it is extending the warranty till 2014. Covers everything on the vehicle that pretty much moves except things like glass, carpet, bumpers, brakes... It also has trip interruption when traveling over 100 miles (lodging and food for 3 days) and ownership transferability.
