After reading about three dozen post and half-dozen articles on front end rebuilds (good info) does anyone have any advice (I know...watch the springs) for a "newbie"?

Be safe, buy good quality parts, take your time and expect the job to snowball into more than you originally planned on. Be sure and grease all of the new parts before driving. Measure the length of your current tie rods and assemble the new ones as close as you can to that length. Keep track of the shims in the upper a-arms and put them back where you found them. This will get you in the ballpark for your drive to the alignment shop. When you lower the car for the first time it will likely sit higher in the front than you had planned on because going from full droop to the ground will add a ton of positive camber. Roll it back and forth a couple of times and it should be closer to it's final height. Have fun. Working on the old cars is fun, right?
If you are going to do it your self go with a reputable place like firewheel or get moog stuff. Dont get this no name autozone crude. I have had to rebuild enough front ends in my time. I still need to get my 7 aligned.
I'm right in the middle of my rebuild, stock 67, all new moog, I would say take your time. If you are going to do your own lower ball joints / bushings Goggle remove and install, some of the videos will show you. Plus read up on it over and over. Good luck and just ask ? on here this site is GREAT.
I recently changed upper and lower ball joints and by far the hardest part of the whole job was getting the factory rivets out of the upper A-arms.
Also I found that the replacement upper ball joints use 5/16" bolts in place of the 1/4" rivets forcing you to drill the A-arms for 5/16". I used A/C delco parts and tried all the parts stores and ball joint brands looking for ones with 1/4" bolts with no luck before I actually took a drill to my A-arms.
Thanks all for the advice.....about have the front end torn down...now to buy parts! Prefer Moog....any advice on the best place for front end suspension kit (including springs).
