I just got a set of these and will be ordering adaptors to use them on my vortec heads. The adaptor is $100.00 from Summit. I paid about $100.00 for the valve covers.

Yes they are. They have a great classic look and look good on performance applications also in my opinion....my 327 is nothing speacial though. :noway:

I used something a little taller to avoid any clearance issues for roller rockers/lifters.

I have a set of adapters on my smallblock which has the same covers as Joe.

I haven't run my motor with the adapters, but they are very well made. I was impressed with the quality.You guys with the adapters, did you ever have any sealing problems with them?
I hate oil leaks.
The vortec heads have raised rails so they aren't prone to the leaks like the older heads.
These are pretty nice, but getting harder to find. They have drippers which need to be removed if you have roller rockers. Also have the excellent GM baffles, which a lot of aftermarket covers seem to lack. http://www.impalassforum.com/tech/engine/valve_covers/ValveCovers.html

i looked for 6 months for right valve covers for my 69 Camaro with vortex GM crate motor, you'll have to check my photobucket as I don't know how to move pictures from there to here! Been on road about 3 to 4 years and its a driver....Jay
