Between the highest point of the fender and the top of the door is a weird gap, and it will get worse, since I need to move the door back almost a quarter of an inch. A lot of the front sheet metal (extensions and the piece between) were really hard to get in place and have bad gaps. It looks like someone tried to caulk the gap between the extensions and the fender.

Is it possible the car was in a front end collision or something?

Get everything else perfect and then start filling the gaps with weld and metal.

Well, since I have a couple of places to fill, and my paint was ruined last week, I guess it's a perfect time to do it.

EDIT: The other side doesn't do that, I think that door is new, too.

i'm in the process of welding metal in and grinding smooth in the same spot on my doors. just re-skinned both original door frames and both gaps in that area are way off. just take your time and be patient!! g/l

I would guess the sub frame is aligned correctly ?

and yes, some aftermarket stuff has issues...some more than others.
The guy I bought the car from said he checked it. I'm putting it on a lift next week and pulling the nose off and trying to fix all the sheet metal.

I cannot stand gaps! :(
