Most of the class C 4x4's I've seen over the years were conversions. The RV was built by "X" manufacturer and then a custom shop converted it to 4 wheel drive.

Earthroamer makes some beauties but they are quite expensive.

You are correct!thats hy they are tough to find!
Definatley cannot afford the Earthroamer just a poor fireman here:beers:

Get a Spartan mountain chassis rescue truck with 4x4 rear steer and make a camper out of it. Would be awesome. The Santa Cruz Fire District has a couple of these trucks and each time I see them turning one into an RV is all I can think about.

Check out the larger dealers in Florida and Arizona. So many snow birds buy nice RV's use them for a year or two and then decide it's not for them. That's how we got our big coach. Saved over $60K from buying a new one.
