After reading this thread I think I'll go cut myself in half :p
I'm pretty sure I had an exhausting day yesterday, but I can't remember now.

somehow i always seem to leave my stamina at the door when i enter the garage to work on my car. i tend to crawl under it on my back and lay there with a wrench in my hand staring at the underside the whole time hahaha

I've had some of my best power naps laying on a creeper under the car, gives a man time to think about the task at hand.

You can excecise and be as active as you like... But there is no cheating mother nature... Time catches up with us no matter what....I hit the gym every day...I can move more iron than guys half my age at the gym...(but i dont get as much joy out of it as i did 7-8 yrs back..swear the dumbells are getting heavier)..Before I my ruptured quad tendon I was running 4 miles a day... And hated every mile

The other day I was working on putting the carpet in the car... Got tired. Didn't want to try and stand( difficult with full leg immobilizer so I took a nap sitting in the driveway leaning on the rear tire...The Only reason I woke up is neighbor thought I passed out and woke me up..

I may feel young but there are days I feel if I fell I would come apart like a Mr Potatoe head doll.:D.

Joe,
You need to pay a visit to Dr. Life to get your stamina back. (www.drlife.com) His average client is 46 years old. I DO believe mother nature catches up with all of us, but there is plenty you can do to lead a long, healthy life and decrease the effects of aging.
Now put down that remote (and the smokes) and get after it.

Yeah.... I know those guys... call me Gramps and make cracks about Geritol and crap like that. I still look 40 for Gods sake!
Leave me alone!
;)
I survived the last 4 days in one piece... muscles a little sore in a couple places from crawling around under the hood all weekend. No busted knuckles! No Tylenol for breakfast! I just had to beat myself to within an inch of my life (literally), so if I keep it up I might lose a couple pounds before Summer!
:beers:

Yea these young guys and their old geezer comments!

Told one the other day I'd drink a bottle a Geritol an open a can a whoopit on his young butt! :boxing:

Buncha old farts we are.
My buddy made a very good observation at the last Good Guys we attended. Look around and see how many more older people you see than young.
I'm 54 and still pushing it.Not gonna stop til I fall over dead too.
Just wish a lot of things worked like they used to. Eyesight would be number one.
When you get into better shape you will be amazed at what you can do. Most older people just seem to give up.
I go fishing, metal detecting, woods crawling, shooting, and wrench on a restoration Camaro project and trying to finish up a truck. Bought a 65 LeMans just waiting for a big block Chebby. I'm most worried about running out of time. Hell,if I had more time I'd like to learn guitar.
Shoot, thank goodness for work, sort of. This is where I get the, ahem, time to do several hours of research a week.
When I win the lotto.......
