Had American Idol on in the background and a 16 yr old kid with an amazing voice was singing. His voice was deep but had good range. I'm thinking this kid will not only win American Idol, he's going to be a country star. :yes:

Seasons are getting harder and harder the contestants are much better and more of them then years past.I think Steve Tyler makes the show oh I meant Steven...lol...I am not sure a country boy will make it....

I like the song and dance shows my son says I'm gay but I am married to his mom.I'm still glad I watched the season with Daughtry best Idol ever great musician....

I agree jr. the best singers are already gone. it is a popularity contest with all the friends and family calling. I thinkg the guy jacob lusk was horrible. he was out of range alot but got nothing but compliments from jen, steve, and randy. I wish simon was back to tell them the truth.

Popularity contest with family and friends ? Sorry I dont think any of the contestants have "millions" of friends. It is possible the "hometown fans" may contribute but you have to admit Idol has produced some real stars....
Daughtry and Carey Underwood come to mind.

i should have expanded more than just friends. Im sure all the country folks voted for the country singer etc etc. as i mentioned and imo, its not really how the person sings but if you like his or her styling que, sings your type of songs, looks good in a skirt, or your race, creed, or color. just like tonight which jerry said was a shocker, others had been eliminated that should have not been and vice versa.
and I do agree that idol has produced some real stars though at least half of today's stars were not the winner of the american idol
