It is just about impossible to go wrong with an AED carb. What you have to be careful of though is if you are dealing directly with them or are looking at one on Ebay, Craigslist....etc. Lots of guys are selling frankenstein carbs on ebay and calling them whatever the sticker is on the fuel bowls. You have no guarantee if it is all correct and you will have no idea if or what tune is calibrated into it. If you are looking at their website and considering H.O. or other carbs like that, they are AWESOME quality. I have a good carb buddy in NY that has done custom powdercoating for them. He is a N/A genius and says they are absolutely top notch. Right up there with pro systems, bigs, carb shop and so on.
 
I used an AED 750 on our 331" SBC and it worked magnificently, to the tune of 417 rwhp @ about 7100 rpm.
