AWESOME!!!!! Good progress!
Yup, am upgrading to Pwr Disc and rear multi leaf springs. My plan is to keep the car stock looking yet it will be upgraded with some extra options

If you need some 68 Ragtop support, give me a shout

Thanks a bunch!! Since you mentioned it, I am looking at this point to hear from anyone on what parts/kit/setup to get for the front discs. I've been looking around a bit and so far I know I want to keep the stock ride height and brake booster look, don't need all the correct markings and stampings as I'm not doing a show car and will probably forego using the "correct" 4-piston calipers. (I did pickup a set of 15" Rally Wheels from a '68 Z car however) so will not be trying the kit where you can fit them in the 14's... anyone have thoughts on this comments are welcome

Get A-body spindles and disc brakes. they are front stear. swap on your Camaro rear- stear stearing arms. 72 Nova flex brake lines should complete the swap or just find a donor Nova with frt DBs

I considered the easy upgrade of swapping out the PG for a th350. Just not enough excitement....
mild engine, 2.74 1st gear in the 2004R and 3.73 gears...exciting...then the OD knocks it down to 2.50

Realized in my haste to get the posts caught up to current I forgot to detail what happened with the frame. I found once I dropped it away from the car that the mount points on the body were perfect for the most part and the frame mounts were pretty much shot. I was about to head down the path of welding in some patches when a much nicer frame came up on craigslist... quick trip over to PA in the old pickup truck and problem solved :)

wow, lots of work done in a short period of time

Nashville Beth's 68 Ragtop started out like yours, white. She sends along this link for C5 Vette Brakes on your spindles

Cool, thanks! Trying to move this project along quickly, anxious to be able to have a car to drive, two other projects in the works are more long term, this one just might be back together this year :)

Black Standard Interior, still have most of it intact, will need front covers and probably door panels. Rear seats look nice.
Cool always nice to reuse the originals when you can. What color does the trim tag say the original top color was? You going with "Parchment" or Black?

Car is original black top, I believe the top is original one, does not look like it's ever been redone. It's all dried up and shredded and the rear window is gone however ;)

In the C5 brakes link, the poster mentions trouble with an earlier disc brake swap. Not sure what the problem was. One idea though.... IIRC, the manual brakes had one bore MC cylinder and the power DBs use a different size. I can attest that the stock brakes on my 70 Elky are superb and more than this is overkill unless you do competition or do stuff on the street that JOHN LAW does not approve of nor does common sense dictate is prudent. I do like the look of 4WDBs especially with big size open pattern wheels.

I was planning to do front discs with rear drums, just ditching the front drums and old manual master cyl. Will add new master and booster and all new lines, etc... heard just horrific stuff about the front drum setups.
