I'm looking for a safe spot on the frame back by the tank for this Mallory 140 pump.
The 'best' spot seems to be directly above the axle but I didn't think it was safe to put it there due to suspension movement??

Thanks for any advice,

Donnie.

I welded up a bracket out of some angle iron and mounted it to the fuel tank straps with some old rubber floor mat as isolator between the bracket and straps. Used old poly leaf spring pads as isolator between the pump and bracket. Made the sides of the bracket long so that where I put the button head bolts through the tank straps would be at a place where there was a gap between the strap and tank so they wouldn't dent into the tank.

I have the stock tank.

Going to try and do something similar to what Steiner did now that I've seen that option.

Where would the transverse muffler have gone?

I now have dual 'custom' exhaust and don't think my car has had stock exhaust since I've owned it.

I'll post a pic here in the next few days of what we ended up doing. Very similar to Steiners.

Thank you again,

Donnie
