friend has a 68 camaro convertable originoly had a v6 but was replaced with 350 no signs of rust. looks in great shape. only needs new rag top and new paint job because the owner sanded off all the pin striping to get collectors plates. i cou. ld probably get for 16,000$ has 68000 miles on odometer. it worth it?

No V6 factory 68...straight 6
As for the value of a 6 cylinder Camaro needing paint (body work ???), and a new top (hows the interior ???)
What if any other work is needed ?
$16 sounds a little steep needing all that and being a 6 cylinder (Now V8)

not sure what a rag top cost but a good paint job will cost between $8K and $20K + depending on how gooood you want it.
everything else on the car better bit in great shape with NO RUST for $16K here in central U.S. that's about what they are going for in that condition.
