Been having pop in muffler while idling, changed plugs and wires, checked timing ok.If I disc vac to dist,no popping. What to look for? When I recon va,poping again.
If you still have the old one, compare the slot(travel) with the new one. I bet the new is longer. With your timing light you should be able to tell how much it is adding and make a limiter if you want to reduce it.no I don't,but I did replace my old one that was dead, maybe this one is putting too much in?.
Yeah, but... If it's like the Crane adjustable can, the allen wrench controls the spring tension which controls at what vac reading advance comes in and out. There is also a travel limiter which controls the total amount of advance the can will provide. The allen wrench is typical length, not that long.Ok,heres the deal,I talked to mallory tech and he said, the vac canister is adjustable,(new to me) said can has 12 deg in it.I need a 3/32 allen to do it.As I recall it didn't come with one.So the unite has 24deg in it and I had init set at 12.So where do I find a 3/32 allen long one?Didn't know it was adjustable.
