In a concerted effort to work collaboratively with the County and residents of South Chase, the Central Florida Racing Complex has effectively ceased all drag racing at the complex until final determination of the Board of County Commissioners. The hearing before the Board of County Commissioner will be on Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. Please come and show your support for the Central Florida Racing Complex. Contact Track Manager Vinny Barber at 407-812-4004, to let him know if you plan to attend and to get a Support Our Track T-Shirt. You may also contact your local County Commissioner or Mayor at the following if you feel strongly that drag racing on our local track and our educational programs make a real difference in curtailing illegal
street racing:

It sounds like the samething that happened to Jacksoville and other tracks.

We need to pack the hearing with racers in support of the track.

People cause a fuss because of the noise and shut these tracks down. It is funny that most places were there well before the houses were built in those areas AND the people who complain moved there knowing there was a track there. I say too bad..you don't like it..move!@

Same way here. People move in on farmland and then want to change the environment to suit their ideals.

I agree it sucks...

As said, if you don't like it MOVE.
They need to pass a law on grandfathering....IF it was there (dragstrip, fire house, airport, bar, whatever) before you and they're not breaking the law...you are S.O.L.

We have the same thing out here in the country. Folks move out here to get away from the city, then complain about the smell of manure and big equipment hogging the road in the spring and fall. I guess they think there pork/beef/chicken is all made by the grocery stores.

Another example of that happening is when people move near an airport (that has been there for MANY years) and then complain about the noise from the airplanes. When I was in the Air Force there were people complaining just about everyday about the airplanes. The base had been there since the 50's. Guess some people just like to complain about everything.
