I ran thru the pics quickly and noticed a few things wrong...1. trunk stripes are wrong, they should end 'under' the spoiler, they dont 'finish' down over the lip of the trunk. 2. There is no extra solenoid on top of the wiper motor for the headlight washers. 3. The plate that the hood release is mounted on was painted black. Im pretty sure factory had that part painted gray. 4. There is NO 'GM' decal inside the drivers door either.

Im not sure what other threads talk about this car but with 4 things wrong, I would look for other details before putting out big money for it.
 
Look at the end of the pad stamp partial vin and you will see a faint '4' remaining from the original stamp, just to the right and slightly higher than the last (restamped) digit.

I noticed the 4.:) The block build date and suffix code look genuine, imo .?... Was wondering how the partial VIN could've been restamped w/o restamping date/suffix as the deck would need to have been resurfaced.

As William pointed out in the CRG thread, by 9N614XXX, the partial VIN would be down by the oil filter.;)

I was just rehashing the images this guy posted that I copied and posted above.

The 1, N, 9, 6, 0, & especially the "4" are not of the same font.

I'm kinda without words here in how to disect (sp) how these two compare; and WHY the differences.

Would like to see more input here on this....
