The little lever on the lock on my 68's glove box door doesn't move down enough to release the door. I tried adjusting the catch, no good. I need to use the key to push the lock button in harder & then it will release. I took the lock out but just put it back in. Can you replace the little spring for a stronger one to pull the lever down farther? Thanks guys! Officially my first question!!
Enjoy the holidays and travel safe!

I originally posted this as a reply to the "69 glove box thread" before I realized the thread was a year old. Hope reposting it as a new topic is OK!

Have a happy, healthy new year!

I'd say lubing the mechanism/latch and work it so it moves freely or adjusting the catch inside the glovebox are your only alternatives.

They do like to hang up sometimes. Seems like they open better if you gently slam (for lack of a better description) it shut rather than pushing it shut.:)
