1967 SS350 Grille Emblem or SS only?

Why do I see some 1967 Camaro RS/SS cars with "SS350" Grille emblems and some without? I've been looking at the Pace Car pictures and some have the SS350 Emblem, some just the SS emblem

Is their a hard fast rule on which is used? For example would just an "SS" only use the SS350 badge versus SS with RS use SS350?

SS350 was used until the big block (396) was introduced, then all had just SS emblems.

January 67 would mark the transition away from SS350 emblems.

So why do some Pace Cars have SS 350. All of those were built up to April. I am still confused.

At one point, didn't they make an SS396 steering wheel emblem that wasn't released to the public? I know I've seen vintage Chevrolet car displays with this wheel.
