Somebody remounted the voltage regulator on my 68 Camaro and had it directly bolted to the body. I want to use the original well nuts and I know I need to ground the voltage regulator with a strap. But I'm not sure exactly where it should be connected. Does anybody have a picture of the grounding strap for the voltage regulator on a 68 and how/where it is connected?

It's a black 20 ga "jumper wire" about 8" long. Attaches to the side of the VR frame and is grounded at the headlight ground location. See pg 92 in the AIM and pg 406 if it has noise suppression (capacitor).

Let us know.Thanks! That's what I needed. Mine does have the capacitor.
My next challenge will be to find new brackets and accessories to deal with the long neck water pump on the new engine

Hope this helps, 92K mile 68 base car. Like others said shares the bolt at headlight ground and other end shares the bolt used to attach condenser/capacitor, (take your pick on terminology), to regulator body.

Might be easier to change water pumps.Thanks! That's what I needed. Mine does have the capacitor.
My next challenge will be to find new brackets and accessories to deal with the long neck water pump on the new engine
That's what I'm considering. I don't know if there are any clearance issues but I'll check after the engine arrives.

Probably 5/16 x18 I think. I would take the bolt out, go to Ace Hardware because they usually have that style bolt in stock.Since I'm missing the ground wire (but I know its specs), does anybody know the size of the circled screw?
I'll buy that size and try it but I don't have a bolt in it to check. That is somebody else's picture.

Take a bolt from the engine compartment or someplace on the car that looks to match it, see if it fits, and then go buy 2 or 3.

1/4" D x 5/8" L tapered with 3/8" head. The 3 bolts holding the washer fluid tank bracket directly below it are identical although in the pic those heads appear smaller they are in fact same length and 3/8" heads as well. All 4 bolt heads have a circular raised logo in the heads, I could not make out. Stacking order is large external star lock washer, regulator ground wire terminal, headlight ground terminal then bolt. The regulator ground terminal is plain metal, no insulation on the crimp.Since I'm missing the ground wire (but I know its specs), does anybody know the size of the circled screw?
