Has anyone installed Billy's Clear Shot V2 Rectangular mirrors on a '68 that has the "ledge reveal molding" on doors? I'm emailing w/Billy & Sarah now, and they said I'll need additional spacers to make it work. I'm just looking for photos of this setup so I can see what it does to the installation & appearance. Only thing I can envision is "double-stacked" spacers raising mirror base off the paint & showing a "gap" with whatever the spacer material is.

Appreciate feedback from anyone who has them like this.
Thanks

I have the ledge reveal moldings on my '68 also and would like to see a pic of the supplied spacer.
I’ve been on phone with Billy a few times today working out an “as found condition” with my car. Long story short, base plate of current mirrors on my car is longer/wider & existing holes in door can’t be covered by Clear Shot standard base or with the spacer. So Billy is having a machinist custom fabricate a base/spacer that will allow me to install Clear Shot mirrors AND cover the extra holes left behind from old mirrors. Great guy to work with for sure! You won’t get that kinda service from a “parts house” type vendor.

I don’t think he’ll mind, below are the photos they sent me of the spacer for use with reveal moldings; and a Clear Shot mirror installed with one.

When I get my custom installation complete; I’ll post up a thread so all can see photos.

UPDATE

Big ‘tip of the hat’ to Billy Morris! I installed my Clear Shots using the custom/one-off billet aluminum spacers Billy made. They look great! Also, for those who have the ledge reveal molding; note spacing, everything fits/pivots without interferences.

It looks very good. What is the advantage of these mirrors - just higher quality over Chinesium? Are they convex?
Mirrors that came on car were useless; couldn’t see anything. Billy’s Clear Shot mirror eliminates common blind spot. He’s a 1st generation Camaro owner & designs products to solve issues with his.

jimsl78,

The teardrop billet plate we made for 63fiber buggy was to hide the holes that were in the door that was
from a non stock mirror. The holes someone drilled in the door were longer than what a stock gasket would cover.
So we made him a billet spacer to hide the holes and to keep him from having to fill the holes and repaint both
doors. Our mirrors use a stock gasket. The have the same foot print as a stock GM mirror however our Patented
design is why our mirrors Eliminate the Blind Spot and stay adjusted.

Melrose RS,
Morris Classic Clear Shot Mirrors are a Patented design to Eliminate the Passenger Side Blind Spot.
Our mirrors Do Not Rely on a Fish Eye convex to Eliminate the Blind Spot. Some customers
actually use a plain view mirror on the Passenger side because they don't like the Objects In Mirror Are Closer Than They Appear wording. The head of the mirror can be tightened if ever needed. One customer had 60k miles on his car & 5yrs and the passenger side mirror was vibrating, he tightened the screws 1/16 turn , good as new.
Yes higher Quality and a 3yr Warranty that is unheard of for a mirror, and the only mirror that will Eliminate the Passenger Side Blind Spot and stay in its adjusted position.

It's nice that you did a one off peice to solve a customer's problem. I was under the impression that this spacer was to gain clearance between the mirror and door reveal molding. Do you also have one for this also and what does that spacer look like?

Isn’t that it in post 7?

The UHMW spacer is only needed on the 68 Camaro with reveal molding.Sometimes customers need the Patented UHMW black spacer so the mirror will adjust inward enough to see the lane beside them because the inside of the mirror hits the reveal molding. On all other GM cars you just use the stock gasket. We also own a stamping die set that makes the door bracket almost the same as a GM stock one except our bracket is thicker and has slots in it.
Thx, Billy

Sorry my bad, I scanned through the posts too quickly and didn't pick that up. Thanks for correcting me.

Any idea when your mirrors will be available this year?
