One of my AAW taillight sockets discombobulated. No luck contacting them via their website as of yet but if any of you guys has had good luck with an aftermarket pigtail socket could you share the brand and where you got it?
thanks

Last ones I got were from the HELP rack at the auto parts. Worked fine.

I found it on Summit this morning. Searching summits site on my phone is a pita but on the PC its not a problem. Thanks

Is there a big difference? I mean, are the AAW sockets still plastic, or do they need a wired ground?
The original plastic tab ones have a metal inner clip that ground to the metal hole surround of the taillight housing. In turn, the metal taillight housing grounds itself to the the trunk "body. In my case, the taillight assemblies were removed when the car got a repaint by a previous owner. The metal "tits" of the taillight housings were not making good contact to the body for ground when they got re-installed. I ended up installing a short ground wire on the backside of each taillight (in the trunk area) and ran it to a trunk screw to ground each housing. Problem solved without having to sand the contact point of the taillight housings to body. I was afraid of potential rust if water got to that bare metal.
