Any one know the correct clocking ( position ) of the vacuum ports on the actuators? I have seen some show the rear port turned inward towards engine and some showing them turned outward towards the extensions. The AIM seems to show the drivers side actuator with forward port in the up position pointed inwards. Is that right?

Are you installing original or aftermarket actuators?

I'm replacing the originals. The CHQs I bought are clocked the same way on the cans as my originals were.
The nipple hose connections on the reproduction actuators very are different on the 68s…can’t be absolute on the 69. Pictures are of an original 68 vs the new one. For the clocking, you’ll have to hang it and see how they align with your hose routing, and verify they don’t rub on anything.

Ok cool thanks. I spent several hours today digging through old photo albums we have and I found some old pictures of when I was taking this stuff apart back in 96.. The picture of the actuator I took was of the passenger side and I can see on the original the rear vacuum port is pointed inward engine side and the front port is on downside of the front, That would put the driver side actuator just like the AIM shows with the front port on top side of front with the rear also pointing inwards towards engine. Looking at various pictures showed different ways people have done them, that confused me.
