Just posting this info in case someone else wants to run these wheels.

I really like the look of these cars with 15" wheels but was thinking I wanted something a little different. "Everyone" running 15s have rally wheels (including me), looking at options, I really like the look of the 69 SS 396 5 spoke wheels. The catch is my car has Wilwood 12.19" rotors and 4 piston calipers at all four corners.
I bought a set, 15x8 with 5" backspace for the rear, 15x7 with 4-3/8" backspace for the front. These are Wheel Vintique wheels, the 5" backspace wheels have been discontinued, but I found some. Well, just mounting them up, they dont fit, they hit the calipers. I could get the rear to clear using a 3/8" spacer - that would give me right at 1/4" clear on the caliper. The front dont fit either. I could get them to clear the caliper with about a 1/4" clearance using a 5/8" spacer which has me worrying about them sticking out too far and creating tire rub/scrub. My gut feeling is the 4-1/2" backspace would fit the rear with no spacers. The fronts were the problem.

To me the juice wasn't worth the squeeze. I returned the wheels. These wheels are just too expensive to force them to fit. I may try the Pontiac Rally II, those were used on 67 Yenkos, but looking at pictures, it appears the SS 5 spoke and Pontiac Rally II use the same wheel hoop and just the center section is different, that is the problem so those may be a no-go with the Wilwood brakes also.

The Chevy Rallys fit fine with no spacers, so looks like I'll be sticking with them. The wheels will of course fit with stock brakes.

How about American Racing Torq Thrust wheels?

I didn't like the 15" x 7" on my car at first, but they were on it when I purchased the car. Budget kept me from getting new ones.

So Donna and I polished the aluminum and painted the light grey to a graphite grey. Also, changed out plastic centers to a set of aluminum centers I found on ebay. SS center decal came from a Camaro vendor. Much better appearance with the brilliant blue exterior paint.

The "torque thrust" that looks like the old school wheel I like. The one with straigh spokes, the ones with bowed spokes dont look as good IMO. Those are for sure an option, I like those with the regular gray spokes. Really like them with the flat aluminum center caps and screws. I like the US Mags Indys too. SS centers, nice touch!

I just think these wheels reek cool!

Kept mine close to size as not to have issues. Foose Knuckles all 4, 17 x 8, BFG 235/45 and 255/45, 4 WDB. 1" lower to stock. Someone once said not to design the car around the wheels but the other way around. I put 1/4" red pinstripe on the edge of the wheel to add interest, car was done in 2009.

That was always one of my favorite wheels. Some of the other wheels are way overdone imo…

Years ago when I wanted my car to take on a stockish look I opted for the SS 396 wheels from Wheel Vintiques. I didn't want the Ralleys with the silver paint job, it needed a contrast. That same style of rim was used by all 3 major car manufacturers back in the day, Mustangs, Challengers, Chargers, Nova & Camaro.

I agree, they were all slightly different, even Olds and Buick had a variant. Some had trim rings some did not, some were chrome. The Pontiac Rally II isn't far off either.

I bought a set of OEM Chevelle Rally's back in the mid eighties for $100 to try on my '68. It seemed more fitting for the '69 body style so I only kept them on it for a few weeks. I still have an old picture of it with them on it.
