Hi to all Camaro enthusiasts. I am having a shop replace the door hinges on my 1967 Camaro as I am not able to do much heavy physical work with my hands anymore, it sucks, but that's life. I need help locating OE lower door hinges for my 1967.

I ordered OER door hinges and returned them three times due to poor quality and overall machining issues. I have read most of the postings relating to door hinges and agree that they are not worth buying. I need to locate and purchase the left, P/N 7663425, and right, P/N 7663424, lower door hinges. I posted a Wanted ad here on Camaros.net in Marketplace and on Craigslist. I am capable of rebuilding the hinges. I will purchase the upper hinges if a seller wants to sell all four hinges.

If anyone has door hinges and is willing to sell them, I would appreciate it very much if you would contact me.

FYI: I ordered a hinge rebuilding set from Heartbeat, and the pins are too short by 1/4".
Can anyone recommend where to purchase good hinge rebuilding parts? I would appreciate it, I would like to purchase pins, detent arms, rollers, and bushings

Thank you,
Terry

If you can, source a good original used set.

Which I stated in my info in the link I provided, and numerous other times with pics. I've purchased and installed dozens of original rebuilt hinges on many makes and models.

That is what I have been trying to do, so far, no luck. I posted a wanted ad on this site and also started this discussion, hoping someone may have a set to sell me.
There's three used GM hinges on ebay now and that's not even looking through all the pages. Plus one NOS hinge. And used doors with hinges. Just contact the door sellers and ask if they want to sell just the hinges. It's what one has to do if regular contacts don't have them or if a network is not established.

Yes, I agree with you, Hogdaddy. All is not what it may appear to be or that easy. Many of the hinges for sale are listed as 1967-69, major differences, there are three mounting holes for 67 and four holes for 68! The 67 is a stand-alone door hinge. I did contact one seller of the right door with hinges and asked if he was willing to sell the hinges, have not heard back. Some pictures are so blurry and black that it is impossible to see what condition they are in. I am not going to throw my money away if a seller is not willing to send better pictures, with the price of the hinges, plus nearly double the shipping cost, it is not worth taking the chance.

Hogdaddy, you mentioned 66-67 Chevelle are the same on lower, correct? I have to say yes. This is the information taken from two different websites:

OER Lower Door Hinge Set 1966-1967 Pontiac GTO/Firebird Chevy Camaro/Chevelle

Correct OER® reproduction of the original lower door hinge designed for various 1966-67 GM models. These reproduction door hinges were originally designed with three bolt holes which attach to the door and frame.

Applications:

1966-67 Buick Special
1967 Chevrolet Camaro
1966-67 Chevrolet Chevelle
1966-67 Chevrolet Malibu
1966-67 Oldsmobile F85
1967 Pontiac Firebird
1966 -67 Pontiac GTO
1966-67 Pontiac LeMans
1966-67 Pontiac Tempest

I should have added this information in my original post.

I sent a down payment for a complete set of uppers and lowers to a fellow in Washington. I am not sure how it will work out due to communication issues. I am skeptical about how the payment is being handled.

Franks Pontiac Parts will likely have rebuildable GM hinges.
I was thinking the same thing. He has a lot of doors so he should have hinges.

PayPal goods and services only! Never anything else…

Don is 100% right, many troll websites when guys are in a bind and then send messages that they have exactly what some are looking for. Be cautious when dealing with individuals, if you have to send funds send via PayPal with goods and services (usually a 3% extra charge) and NOT friends and family. With Goods and Services you have recourse in case the transaction doesn't work out.

Another place to check with for original Camaro hinges is these guys If things don't work out, speak to Bob or Craig.

Thanks to you all for your input. It is looking more like a scam with the Washington guy. Yes, I know better than to go off script, I should have stuck with PayPal as I always do, but I got caught up in the moment, hinges from a 67 RS/SS and he bamboozled me big time. You know the old saying, there is no fool like an old fool, and I might emphasize "old" in my case. I sent emails to Franks Pontiac Parts and bob@camaro.com requesting rebuildable hinges, thanks guys.

It was a scam, he took my money and ran. I want to pass the information I have on this scammer to everyone. First, I got the information from this site, see above, she passed the email address on to me, I contacted Tammik and let the individual know the email address provided was a scam artist. Have not heard from Tammik since.
This tooneevee person states he only uses Zelle, his name is Raymond Miller, claims he lives in Seattle, Washington, although the phone number he provided is a Dallas number, 214-517-3326. He told me he was selling parts off his 1967 Camaro RS/SS.
