Hey guys! This week I picked up a 1972 Camaro SS, or really more like what’s left of one. I spotted this peeking out behind a Cutlass listed on Marketplace, and inquired about it.

The seller sent me some pictures, which were enough to tell that it was a 70-73 Camaro.

I discovered it was a 72 SS according to the trim tag, which was worth the purchase IMO. I picked the car up for $200.

Then came the fun part, loading it on the trailer!

Made it home!

I also scored a ‘72 Chevelle along with this car for another $200! The Chevelle is pretty solid.

Unfortunately, this Camaro has some severe rust along with the obvious body damage. Nearly the entire floor and trunk pans are gone, and the passenger quarter and tail panel are heavily damaged, so it’s going to need a lot of metal. It’s not unsavable, but it’ll require a significant amount of work. I think my plan is to save it until I can bring it inside the shop and build a body jig for it. In the meantime, I’m working on sourcing a front subframe, which there’s a ‘74 parts car with one locally.
