Sorry but that was a textbook scam from start to finish.

Don is 100% right, many troll websites when guys are in a bind and then send messages that they have exactly what some are looking for. Be cautious when dealing with individuals, if you have to send funds send via PayPal with goods and services (usually a 3% extra charge) and NOT friends and family. With Goods and Services you have recourse in case the transaction doesn't work out.

Another place to check with for original Camaro hinges is these guys If things don't work out, speak to Bob or Craig.
I did check, and all they have is new. Thanks for the tip, though.

This is ad listing is about 20 miles from me, check it out and see if these are for your model year? I have a 69 so their might be some differences, maybe some one on TC can verify.
I can get them if you're interested and keep in mind that I'm in Canada so there will be a shipping cost involved. We can iron out the details if they will work out for you.

In CA funds so they will be cheaper once you exchange the money involved. I don't plan on making anything on this just want to see if I can help you with this dilemma.

Slazisme, I appreciate you wanting to do this for me. They are for a 1967 upper hinge; I need the lowers. Those are a good find, they look to be in vgc and the price is more than reasonable. Thank you.

Hey Guys,

I wanted to follow up and let everyone know that I have purchased a set of original lower hinges for my 1967 Camaro. I ordered them from Camaro Specialties. They are going to rebuild them completely. I have been working with Bob, and he seems to be a super good guy. I am looking forward to working with him in the future.

Thanks to everyone for their advice and input, you all are appreciated very much for your words of wisdom and experience.

Terry:)

Wonder if he'll use the generic detent roller rebuild kits sold by every vendor. I doubt he'll use custom machined, bronze bushed rolers and press them in like Willie does. Maybe he has a fully equipped machine shop and rebuilds all types of hood and door hinges now. That service is dwindling as people die and retire.
