Hi, new to the group, I have a 69 rs/ss 396 big block and I’m having issues finding a new aluminum dual fan rad that will fit with a long water pump that’s in the car, I’m having overheating issues at lights and slow speeds mainly because the engine is bored out .60 over. What are my options in finding a 2 row, 1 inch or more cores with dual high cmf fans to fit with the long water pump??

Several guys have had good results with the Cold Case big block radiator and Vintage Air Monster fan. It moves a lot of air. You will have to do your own measuring to verify it will fit with your particular setup.

Do not use the Cold Case fans….

A spal or good name fan is needed. Lot of big ones cheap on eBay but they don’t pull much air.
a cold case radiator look stock except for aluminum. You can put factory shroud on it with factory clutch fan it works fine. Just need good flowing water pump. Electric is fine too it’s just one more thing to deal with. I put a cold case on my z28. The shroud fit fine with my stock stuff.
When I went to lsa engine I bought a cheap shroud(aluminum) with a fan for 60$. The shroud fit fine. The fan I chucked but couldn’t make the shroud cheaper. I bought the biggest single spal summit sold. Pulls lot of air.
In my case, I think my heat issues were originally radiator although it looked good it was clogged from 50 years of coolant turning to wax and clogging it.

US Radiator in Arizona can take care of your needs whether it be OEM or Aluminum, fan and shroud advise as well, and of course a USA company
