Hi

Does this look like a real stamp or re stamp, what would be the value of this block , it needs complete machine work to be done?

Does have faint shadows though. Looks like a partial VIN just above the stamping.

Its Real, my Stamp is VO527DZ and they are the same except for the 7, and location looks Good.
It shouldnt have a vin above, it would be by the filter for this late of a block, I think those are just rust pits IMO.
Whats the casting Date? I am guessing E-12-9 to E-15-9 or very close.

Looks like E19, do you an idea what the block is worth, like I mentioned it needs complete machine work , I do not know if it is a standard bore

Jimmy, post the blocks info (assy stamp, partial VIN, block casting number, and casting date) here: http://www.camaros.org/forum/index.php?board=13.0 The owner of it's original car may be looking for it. It is worth more to him than anyone else. Even if someone isn't looking for it right now, it will be there in the future in case the car pops up.

I was told from the seller of the block that the car crashed and is scrapped.The block has been siting for the past 10 years.

That may be true, but you never know... someone may have salvaged it. Still a good idea to post it just in case.
