The Washer Solvent bottle was a staple from the GM dealers and, as said, you mixed the solvent with water to make a solution for the washers, OptiKleen®, was the name, I think.

POP will tell the engine, as well as the code from pass side deck.

I don't think OO69 would be a good name, just my thoughts, your car. If you have the POP from the original owner, her name will be on the packet. I suggest to use her first name. A legacy theme, if you know what I mean.

Enjoy the ride, congrats on the buy. She is pretty. LeMans Blue.

Nahhh! OO69? Maybe I misunderstood your meaning...which is entirely possible.

"Enjoy the cruise with her. It would be neat if her name was the OO's name..." I understand now. Whew...I thought I was having a moment.

I have a story to tell about my dads 69 Impala. When I was in the 10th grade my dad asked me to go pick up my mom at Hartsfield airport Atlanta. I got out of school that day early and cruised to the airport listening to the Alman brothers got my arm over the seat back, just having a blast. When I picked up my mom, and on the way home I did the same thing. She kept looking at me, and I said what? She said, "Do you have to drive that fast?" I looked at the speedometer and I was doing 95. Speed limit was 65 and 75 then. She still brings that up. We both get to chuckling about that ride.

The Anco bottle says.. "contains Isopropanol" and the directions are to mix 1 oz to 1 quart of water. Basically rubbing alcohol. Nothing fancy.
Back in the day it was also used as an anti-freeze solution for cold weather. I remember using it when we serviced cars. I still have a few bottles somewhere with the original solvent in them.

Nice car Gary!

Gets worse after 40...
This is cruising...

Yes it does. I hit 60 next month.

As a kid 95 mph didn't seem so fast, at least for me. Some of the old bootleggers said I would be a good candidate to run shine but mostly people go to them these days. Now I get in my vehicles, buckle my seat belt and never go much over 50. What a change, from a radical to a conservative...driver that is. I also consider myself to be one of the lucky teens that didn't kill themselves driving.

Hey guys, thanks for the compliments on the new car. This thing kind of fell right into my lap. Posted that I was looking for A 69 Impala on the Yenko site last month and one member PM'd me about it. Never in my life has anything like this happen to me, well, except the time my wife said she saw a nice car by our local highway and I should go look at it. Turns out it was the 69 Z I now own. Reading about stuff like this on T.C. all the time how people are so lucky to have 2 or more of the same car. I would love to have 2 or more 69 Z's like some members have, but never see any other ones except mine.
