So I started my journey getting the gas gauge working today. I didn't get very far, I need more free time. I did find something interesting though. A valve stem in the bottom of the trunk. What could that be??

Note: I am a newbie so I was all over the trunk looking for that wire! The one I think is it is just inside the trunk behind the gas door?

My guess on a valve stem in the trunk would be that at some point in the cars past a previous owner installed air shocks and that valve stem was how he set the air shock pressure. If it no longer has air shocks the valve stem was just left in place when the air shocks were eventually removed.

Just a guess...
