I have a 69 Camaro and I have purchased 2 drivers side mirrors that I have not been happy with. The first one is a GM that was purchased from Year One about 15 years ago and the other is an OEM that was purchased from Rick's about 7 years ago. Both mirrors look great, but they are loose where the mirror meets the base which forces the mirror into the down position while driving. Has anyone recently purchased a mirror that they are happy with? Thanks for your help. Troy

I just installed Morris Classic Industries Clear Shot mirrors. These are fairly new. My old ones flopped around and I couldn't even adjust the passenger side one so it was usable on my 69 Z/28.

New Mirrors are super tight and have convex mirror on passenger side as well as a spacer for where it mounts so that it can be used while driving. Finally, I have full use of my mirrors.

Link is for the unit at Rick's Camaros. If only I can find a way to fix my perpetual sun visors flopping around.

This is an easy fix. Search the threads and you will see how we fix this.

Basically, soak the mirror in paint thinner and the mirror will come out of its frame.

Then tighten the screws inside and put some thread locker on it, or if yours has rivets, use a punch to seat the rivets tighter.

Then reattach the mirror with silicone.

The mirror will be tight and problem is fixed.
