LOL... Kevin I don't know what year the fuses changed but since the blurb said for the last 30 years I figured the '69 was out... I'll redo my math but I'm thinking a '69 is more like 44 years old. ;)
Oops, missed the "within the last" 30 years :) Was thinking about a 30 year span. Maybe I will change my answer to lighter receptacle :D

New cars have to have tire pressure monitors, so valve stems, are out
Thank you, Feds, for protecting me from myself.
TPM's are a derivative of the Schrader valve and they do swap among all cars and hold air, but won't work with crossing of the brands because they are not standardized, each brand has their own monitoring system.

Like I said...the things you learn from Ray and Tom (Click and Clack). That was a puzzler a while back. And I was told this by the tire guy who swapped out my XF steel rims with some new after market Rallys. I didnt buy new stems and schraders so I told him to just swap the old ones in the new tires. He said he has new ones...all these type valve stems and schreaders are the same...european or US.
