How in the heck does this thing fit on??? I have a OER Fan Shroud for 67-68 big block, tried to fit it up anyway possible and doesn't seem too. Are you suppose to cut holes for hoses? They seem to be in the way. Is the OER repop that bad of fit it needs severely modified or am I missing a trick?? Is there a chance previous owner used small block raditor? Would it matter?? Assembly manual shows no differance in actual raditor??? Any tips or pictures would help. Thanks

The BB radiator (and shroud) are wider by 2" (if I recall the meas. correctly).
I think it was 21 vs 23"... (same for SB with AC, ...wider (larger) radiator too)
...some pics of mine. Note that the BB radiator 'grows' to the LEFT. Same mount holes on the radiator support near the battery, ...but near the voltage regulator, there are TWO sets of holes in the support. The BB mounts to the outer set of holes (as should be obvious since it's wider) and you can see the tank gets pretty close to the voltage regulator.

If you are going to purchase a BB radiator, ...do not hesitate, ...get the 4-core (over the 3-core).
While I'm thinking about it, ...be sure you have the (longer) BB hoses (moreso the top)

Any good deals where to get one? Should I consider aluminum? Or stock shroud only fit stock
I'm looking in Ground Up catalog. They have 2 kinda of 4 row listed for a manual tran. 23" and one labeled as SHP bent neck? What is the differance and what one do I need???

...the 23" one for manual trans (assuming you have a manual) is probably the one you want. The 'bent neck' one would be more of a 'technically correct' one for something like a Yenko or COPO where the top hose connection outlet is bent.
As for Aluminum vs. stock, ...depends on how original you want to stay and your build. Staying more original, ...Here's an example...

Here is a picture of a curved neck radiator. You do not need this, as your car isn't an original big block.

If you do not have the big block motor mounts , the shroud will be off too.

Here's my original after I removed the mounting tabs. (I use a tray to mount it)

Thanks guys, not worried about being original, supposidly the car was original BB, but not matching motor (motor is actually a 69), so no way to really ever prove it was an actual BB or SS, so I'm making the car my own and doing what I want to it.

The Griffin 8-00009 I've read on other post should be a direct bolt in and match up, BUT no one has answered the questions about the stock fan shroud fitting on this rad. On the Griffin website, it says you may need to modify stock shrouds slightly, So.... may or may not? And if so, how slight a modifications and what kind of modifcations on the shroud????

Also, does it matter on the Griffin if it's manual or auto??
BTW, my is a 4 speed muncie.

Automatic Radiators have a transmission cooling tank in them. If you have a manual transmission, you don't need that. Manual transmission radiators are usually cheaper since they don't have the tank.

I recently bought an "entropy" a few weeks ago, evidentallyy with the griffin there isn't any tabs at the bottom for your fan shroud clips, at least that's what they told me at entropy

however....with the entropy radiator (which I found out after the fact), you need to get a fan shroud from a 68 350 with a/c and hd cooling, and the top rad hose from a 68 350 a/c with hd cooling

I ended up going with a JEGS Universal Aluminum Radiator 52008, it's core size and over all size is pretty darn close to factory specs. Stock Overall is about 28-28.25" X 19-19.45" and Core 23"X17" JEGS Overall 28"X19" Core 22.875" X17.5" I will post back and let you know how it works out with stock shroud and all.
